Custom columns allows you to define your own columns within the Gantt widget. This is helpful when you want to show more information within a glance of opening the widget. The value can be anything from a string, to an integer.

Implementation

Enabling custom columns is a straightforward process. To enable this feature, ensure that you set "custom columns" to "yes" within the features tab. Configure a column, define and ID, Caption and select an attribute in which the attribute is located you want to show (currently only attribute is available). You can even toggle editable whether you want users to change the data inline.

Wwork breakdown structure (WBS)

A work breakdown structure (WBS) is a tool to help you breakdown the approach to complete large projects. By breaking the project into smaller pieces the Gantt widget will become much more clear and understandable.

Enabling WBS column in the features tab is a straightforward process. With this enabled a column appears in the Gantt widget client. This can be used to organize and structure the tasks.
