This feature is useful in planning tools like the Gantt widget because it allows users to easily identify and change assigned resources to a task. For example, who is working on what and for how long. This allows for a quick overview of work load.

Resources should simply be a list of selectable resources available in your app. Only an unique id and name is required.

The assignments has an additional feature units. This is usually the percentage of time a person is assigned to a task.
